Thread and Yarn

The UCC Quilters have  changed their name and focus to Thread and Yarn, with meetings to be held at church in Fellowship Hall, 1:00 PM on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  Knitters, crocheters, sewers, blanket tiers, and quilters of all skill levels and faith communities are welcome to attend.  Projects can be made for personal use, church use, or for charity.

Charitable donations go to Mercy Hospital, Dean St. Mary Hospital, YWCA domestic abuse, Rock County Social Services, Rock Haven, and the VA Hospital in Madison.

For information on how you can become involved with the Thread and Yarn ministry at First Congregational Church, contact Janet Hay at (608) 752-3373.  We have all necessary tools and fabric.

The Thread and Yarn ministry of Janesville First Congregational UCC would like to thank Park City Quilting Co. located on Hwy. 14 N for the donation of a used long arm quilting machine.  This will help us finish quilts that we donate to nonprofit and social service agencies in Rock County.  And a special thank you to Karen Teubert for arranging for the donation.
