Church Library

If you haven't visited the First Congregational UCC library, you are overlooking an excellent resource for personal growth and spiritual development. When you do visit, you are in for a pleasant surprise.

The library is located in the church office between the Christian Education office and the Pastor's office.

A notice posted in the library explains the simple procedures for checking books out and returning them.

Mary Hunt, our Church Librarian, invites you to stop by and browse the extensive selection of books for adults, children and youth. New books are being added all the time.

Donations are always welcome.  Why not search your personal library to see if you may have one or more books which others might find of interest and which you would be willing to donate to the church library.

The library has many categories of books of both current interest and traditional scholarship. We own a fine set of The Interpreters Bible. Many books of inspirational and devotional materials, and several fine Bible study helps for quick reference may be found in the library.

The library also contains some works of fiction by best selling authors, including a complete set of the Mitford Years series of novels by Jan Karon.

Our collection of popular theology contains books by Marcus Borg, C.S. Lewis and others.

There are books about the history of the church, both the universal church, and this congregation.

The library also has a good collection of biography and personal memoirs.

The selection of books for preschool children and for young readers is quite comprehensive.

The library has a section just for middle school students with a "Y" prefix before the catalog number.
